Amityville Horror is definitely one that terrified me as a child. Two of my other favorites were Poltergeist and The Shining -- merely thinking of certain scenes from those films give me shivers in much the way you described your reaction to the scene in The Exorcist.Jenn Ericksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05484708374808620986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645639453384453835.post-36009754746413191152011-10-04T10:39:55.581-07:002011-10-04T10:39:55.581-07:00Ohhh, scary movies. The crab walk is bad, very bad, so too is the neck spinning. Language too isn;t quite appropriate for an 11yo "Your mother ___ ___ in ___" is kinda funny though...

Poltergeist scared the living crap out of me. I was at a slumber party when I was in the third grade and we thought it would be a good idea to watch Poltergeist. Yeah, right. None of us could sleep. We tried to "chase" it by watching Old Yeller afterward but then we were all scared AND depressed...

When I was in HS, It came out and I made my then-6yo bro watch it (don't know what I was thinking). He just recently confessed that It traumatized him and made him terrified of clowns. Oops!

My girls would not be able to handle scary movies. I was watching Signs on Netflix a while back and Kennedy came into the office so I let her watch some of it. Five minutes of it really freaked her out for a good 2-3 weeks.L.B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03932409909043501781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645639453384453835.post-42683178815555323752011-10-04T09:23:37.180-07:002011-10-04T09:23:37.180-07:00I read The Exorcist when I was about 13 or 14...Ga...I read The Exorcist when I was about 13 or 14...Gave me nightmares for years!
