Morgan Freeman's Taco Pizza?

Back in the summertime, when the kids were out of school, we got in the habit of sitting around after lunch having ridiculous conversations. One day, the topic turned to celebrities and cooking. Do many celebrities cook for themselves or do they have their meals prepared for them, we wondered.

Of course, this turned into a game. We spent at least an hour listing different celebs and pondering what they might like to cook. Does Jack Nicholson ever make his own BLT for lunch? Does he even eat BLTs? He seems more like a steak guy to me. What about Tom Hanks? Does he ever spend a Saturday afternoon flipping burgers in his backyard? He's a family man, seems like a good dad, I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some grilling skills.

When Morgan Freeman's name came up, we all drew a blank. We're big Morgan Freeman fans around here, but I really don't know much about him personally. What sort of food would he cook? That's when, out of blue, I blurted out "Taco Pizza!" Why do I think he would make taco pizza? I have no idea, but the thought of him having a few celeb friends over for some homemade taco pizzas absolutely cracks me up. Maybe he even brings them along to the set when he's filming a movie.

While I find this game endlessly entertaining, one of my favorite celeb games is one my son and I play. We love to take television shows and movies and replace a character with Anthony Bourdain. Doesn't sound like much fun? I beg to differ! Imagine an episode of The Brady Bunch with Anthony Bourdain playing Mr. Brady. If that isn't funny enough, imagine him playing a male version of Alice. Can you see him packing lunches for the Brady kids? What about Gilligan's Island? Just think of him in the role of the Skipper. How many bleeps would you hear during a conversation with Gilligan? For some bonus fun, we could give him Morgan Freeman's role in Driving Miss Daisy. Ponder that for a moment!

The cocktail party will continue on Tuesday with a new guest blogger. It's not too late to RSVP if you haven't already. You can send your submission to me at thisstopwilloughby@yahoo.com. I would appreciate it if you could send me your post in html format. If you are submitting a new post, create it on Blogger as you would any post. Save, but don't publish it. From there you can click "edit html" and copy and paste your blog into the body of an email. If you are submitting a previously published post, go into "edit" and follow the same instructions. This makes it much easier for me to display your blog post the way you have written it and saves me a lot of editing. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

I'm sure you've noticed, but This Stop Willoughby has a new look. Do you like it? I hope you do. I've had the same background for quite some time, and I never felt it was a good expression of myself or my blog. I've spent countless hours browsing backgrounds and learning to manipulate html codes to get the look I felt was a little more "me". If you are considering renovating your own blog, I can now recommend some great places to find information.

I really like the new design, I think it suits you very well. As for the Anthony Bourdain game, I think that is hilarious! I have such a celeb-foodie crush on him anyway, now I have an excuse to bring him up in conversation even more (which I'm sure Felix will love).

The new design is lovely! I wish I was more tech savvy so that I can change the look of my blog to something more personal. Only today did I discover how to copy and paste into the body of my blog (IE won't allow me to from a word document but I can C&P in EditHTML and I can C&P if I use Google Chrome as my browser. Go figure.

I'd be afraid Bourdain would flip his ashes at me, in addition to his middle finger! LOL. Funny game.

Thanks for the idea (Anthony Bourdain game). Now I have a new place to go in my head when something boring is going on around me.

I love the new look! It's beautiful! I also love the Anthony Bourdain game. Picture him as DJ Lance on "Yo Gabba Gabba." If you've never seen the show...don't. If you have, you can imagine..."Don't bite your #*$&#*# friends. Why would you do that? They taste like *#&#. I'll put most things in my mouth. I've eaten #(*&$#&* BUGS. But I would never EVER bite my friends." If you haven't seen it, I'm sorry because that will make absolutely no sense and I will go now. LOL!

I love the new look! It seems like it fits you much better! At least from what I know of your bloggy self! : )
I am almost positive that I saw a Rachel Ray show with Morgan Freeman on it... before her talk show when she had a million different shows on the Food Network.... They were out together at some restaurant... not too helpful sorry... but I love him too, and I think it mentioned him being a man who did like to cook! : )

Yes, love the new look. I noticed right away. Love the background and the banner! Lovely! What a fun game to play with the kids. I love Anthony Bourdain, and will never again be able to watch a show or flick without trying to insert him somewhere. Yes! Love it! Thanks!

I love your new look, it's really fantastic! I adore apples, too. I think the celebrity game you play with your kids is great. I don't know Anthony Bourdain too well, I've only seen him on Top Chef and once or twice on his own show. But I cracked up thinking about him as the dad on The Brady Bunch!

I think it's so fun to think about celebrities and what they might cook. I can totally see Morgan Freeman having taco pizza. I can also see him cooking a big expensive steak on a super grill. I totally picture Jack Nicholson eating a huge burger!
