Everyone is good at something, right? I think so, anyway. It's what makes you interesting. Me, I'm a pretty good cook. I'm also good at trivia. Neither of those are very unique, though. If you asked me to name my most interesting or unusual talent, I guess I would have to say my ability to use power tools (because I'm a woman, people always seem surprised). When we installed the trim molding on our front porch, we set the chop saw up in the yard and took turns cutting the pieces. No one seemed surprised to see Mr. Willoughby using it, but I got a few strange looks when I did. When I tell people that I cut all of the trim for the back porch with a chop saw and installed it with a nail gun while Mr. Willoughby was at work, they always seem to think it's unusual.
I'd like to have one of those talents that entertain people at parties. I'm always envious of people who can juggle or do card tricks. I'm also impressed by those who can sit down at the piano and play Chopin perfectly or pick up a guitar and jam something other than Smoke On The Water.
Mr. Willoughby has some cool, unique talents. He can cut a deck of cards in one hand without setting them down. He can also wiggle his ears. He's tried to teach me how to do both, but my hands are too small to cut the cards and I can't wiggle my ears no matter how much I concentrate. I am double jointed, though, so I can bend the tips of my fingers.
What is your most interesting or unusual talent? I'd love to know!

Well, Mrs. Willoughby, you have a very talented family! I can do normal, everyday things like use power tools and cook, but wiggle my ears, no way! I would be hard pressed to think of any unique talent that I have. Maybe sewing is considered unique in this day and age!?
I would LOVE to be able to play the piano!!!
You know how people "click" their tongue from the roof of their mouth? Kids do it a lot. I can do it REALLY loud. I mean super-duper loud. When I was in choir in high school, we sang the song "Lollipop" and I did the "pop" part alone...without the aid of a microphone. It's loud. I've not met anyone else who can do it.
I can also bend my fingertips...all 8 of them. I forgot that!
I can stick up my middle toe.
I can tie a cherry stem in my mouth...no hands.
I don't use power tools. I don't even know how to use them. I can't even sew with a machine.
Kudos to you that you used the power tools! I can wiggle my ears. That's about it for me.
(I want to learn to play the piano as soon as we get one)!
Just called over to say hi!.
Hmmmmm. I can pick things up with my toes and wiggle my nose. I used to be able to burp the alphabet. I can still let out a good one but it bothers the kids so I restrain myself.
I just cook and am charming at dinner parties especially when I've been hitting the wine.
I know who to call when I need some handy help around here now! Hubby is always so busy, but if it requires more than small tools I usually leave it alone.
I can play the piano fairly well, and the flute.
I have very long fingers and I can palm a basketball. I don't think that's a talent, but it surprises people. Oh, and I'm really good at folding fitted sheets. LOL :)
Hmmm, well I can turn any statement into a dirty joke (I was raised with brothers)...I guess that's not really a talent! I also tend to be good at trivia, I retain lots of useless information. I am also the "handyman" of our house; being raised by a single mom who did everything around the house, I have a knack for it.
Being able to sit down and play the piano has always been something I would love to do, but I'm pretty sure it won't be in this lifetime :-)

I can disassociate from uncomfortable situations very easily by going somewhere else in my head. Which is how multiple personalities are formed. And how I have stayed married for so long.
At the age of 45, I am proud to say I can still do the splits and cartwheels.
My mom made me take piano lessons when I was young and I hated it then, but really appreciate it now. I'd love to be able to play the guitar!
I can hang a spoon from the end of my nose. I don't know if this is a talent or a facial flaw . . . . It's a good party trick, though!
I had my master bathroom completely gutted and rebuilt from the studs by my friend J, who is a stay-at-home mom who is jsut beginning to flex her wings as a contractor. Grrlz with power tools rock!
Thanks for stopping back by my blog! I was out of the loop for a while, but am back in the swing of things now!

I just sat here for 5 minutes straight and tried to figure out a talent. Nothing.
I laugh loudly. I think that may be more a detriment than a talent.
I think it's quite cool that you can work the power tools.
I'm great at table tennis....(ping pong). Won some awards at it.
And for some reason, rhyming. It just flows.
Wiggling my ears independently has always been a talent of mine--coveted by many.
Alas, no special talents that make me fun at parties either. Just a talent in the kitchen that gets me invited to a lot of them :)
