Is This Thing On?

Hello.....hello.....is anybody still there?

I'm finally back after a fairly long hiatus from blogging.  Did you miss me?  Did you wonder where I was or what was going on?  Even if you didn't, pretend you did, it makes me feel important.  In a nutshell, here's what's kept me away from the computer:
  • My anniversary
  • My mom's birthday
  • Mother's Day
  • My son's Prom
  • My daughter's multiple end of the year school projects
Add to the list: 1 - I had a painful issue with my left leg.  My choices were to take ibuprofen, which barely made a dent in the pain, or take the prescription pain killer that made me too drowsy to do much of anything.  I'm feeling better now.  2 - Mr. Willoughby and I cleaned the basement.  Our water heater leaked and soaked a few things on the floor.  One of them was a box of books which turned into a box of mold.  You can imagine how much a germophobe like me enjoyed cleaning up that mess.  3 - The gas company is replacing the gas main in our neighborhood.  They've been digging up streets and yards.  We had to chose between taking down our bar and disassembling our back porch (where the old meter was located) or letting them put the new monstrosity of a meter in our shrub/flower bed.  We chose the latter (but I'm not happy with the results).  4 - We opened our pool for the season.  We waited too long to close it last fall and ended up putting the cover on without removing all of the fallen leaves from the water.  It currently looks like 10,000 gallons of iced tea.  Care for a swim, anyone??  5 - Technical issues.  My computer stops recognizing my mouse every few minutes.  It takes forever to complete any task.

So what's new with you?   I'll be spending some time trying to get caught up with all of your blogs, but please feel free to update me in my comment section.

Glad to be back,

Willoughby

Wow! You've been busy! Glad you're feeling better! I'm loving the new look of your blog! Very pretty! P.S. I now have three blogs (not sure if you knew that). Two are on cooking and the other is about being an amazing housewife (or trying to!).

Willou - I am so glad you're back in the blogworld. I have missed you! Nothing much going on in these parts, except enjoying Spring and planting in my garden.
See you soon!

Yes I did notice your absence, and yes I did miss you. And I don't even have to pretend. I checked your blog every so often and never saw updates. Nice to have you back. Hope you are feeling better.

like your blogroll the newer ones rise to the top so when I saw yours, I thought oh yeah I remember that blog.
I hope you don't feel strong pressure to post and check other blogs. It should be fun not work. I have certainly seen many bloggers just burn out on it. Take your time. Oh, I hope you weren't doing your daughter's assignments which reminds me of funny skit Brian Regan did on science projects.

Welcome back after your multi-family days. One of your best qualities is how dedicated you are to your family and friends, there, something I know about you :)

Yea Su! I was just thinking about you this morning wondering how you were. I am glad I scrolled my reader down to find this post. I am horrified that your flowerbed was sacrificed to a meter no less.)

As you can tell, you have been missed. I've noticed a slow down in "blogland" as summer approaches.

I was thinking about you the other day! Weren't you telling me that you have an HP laptop that you are having issues with? If so, I saw a report on the news a few days ago that they had a recall on the internal batteries in some models. If you are who I'm thinking of and are interested in the link, I can get it for ya...just let me know!!!

I noticed your absence, as well as others, when I've popped on for a few minutes here and there. I'm so glad you posted. I have been working on a new one for weeks... I keep having to re-do it! : )

Sorry about your flower bed... I would cry!
ok-well I hope you can check in sometimes still! good luck with your computer yuck... I had to stop going to AR because of viruses... had 3 in 2 weeks... computer issues stink! I feel you on that one.
hope you have a great day! : )

Hope the pool full of ice tea clears soon. I've had that happen once or twice myself. all the chemicals can be costly :-(

Congrats on all the fun celebrations you've had in your family-- Glad so many happy occasion have kept you busy.

You know, we missed you...but I'm glad to see you took the time to spend with your family -- it's more important in the end.

Did I tell you I love the look here -- it's very pretty!

Yay, you are back! I WAS wondering what happened to you :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It was good to see you! It really is hard to keep up with blogging and an active life--I disappear for days or even weeks at a time, because real life has to come first!

I hate that you have to look at that horrible meter instead of flowers :(
