I'd like to introduce Nicole from the blog Tattoos And Teething Rings . I know you'll enjoy her blog as much as I do. About Me Tattoos and Teething Rings California, United States I am a typical housewife and mother of two...with tattoos and a husband in a touring rock band. We're normal with a twist. I enjoy getting new ink as much as trying new recipes and doing repairs around the house, or printing band tee shirts and volunteering in my daughter's class. First, I'd like to start off by thanking Willoughby for having me; I love her blog and am honored to be a guest. Some of you may already be followers of my blog, but for those of you who haven't read it yet, let me introduce myself. My name is Nicole and my blog is tattoosandteethingrings...

A Rebellious Nature

I'm generally a rule follower, but I have a rebellious streak, too. I've been know to assemble things without following the directions. I usually omit nuts from chocolate chip cookies even though the recipe calls for them. When I wash my hair, I lather and rinse without repeating even though the shampoo bottle recommends otherwise. Once in a great while, though, I go a little too far. One evening, before our kids were born, my husband and I decided to go for a drive. It was a nice evening and we had nothing else to do. For reasons I no longer remember, I got behind the wheel. That's not our standard M.O. , Mr. Willoughby usually drives when we go somewhere. We headed out of the suburbs and into a more rural area where there was less traffic, fewer traffic lights and plenty of winding, twisting roads. The speed limit is 55 mph on those roads and I was using every bit of it and then some. There weren't many cars on the road, but I was passing the few that were. I w...

Welcome to Willoughby's Blog Style Cocktail Party. I hope you will find some new blogs to follow and expand your circle of blog friends. I know you're all anxious to mingle, so I'll get right to it. I'd like to introduce Joanna from the blog The Fifty Factor . I know you'll enjoy her blog as much as I do. Welcome. Did you bring chocolate? By the beach, West Coast, United States Frozen Peas, Mint Chocolate Ice Cream and a Side of Guilt Last week, my husband had knee surgery; not a big deal in the universe, but a very big deal to him, and me. He's doing really well and following doctor's orders, I'm making sure of that. I'm also making sure he keeps bags of frozen peas on his knee so it doesn't swell or gawd forbid, hurt. Hubby dear, is not so great with the pain part of surgery. I've babied and pampered him like only a devoted, loving wife could. The other day, for example, I gently unwrapped the huge, bowling ball-...

Party Favors

I am having a wonderful time with the cocktail party, and if the comments are any indication, all of you are enjoying it too.  It wasn't until yesterday that I realised I had forgotten to provide party favors to my guests.  What a major faux pas!  A good hostess always provides a little token for her guests to take home.  So here it is!  A party favor to post to your blog. If you would like to post it to your blog, here is what you do: Right click on the "favor" and save it to your picture file. Sign in to your blog and click the heading "layout". On the right or left side column, click "Add A Gadget". Choose to add a picture. Click "browse" and select the "favor" in your picture file. Click "save" and you're done.  You can now move it wherever in the column you like. If you want to get super fancy, you can link the picture directly to your appearance at the cocktail party.  To do that, follow the instruct...
